Last night I watched Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and it changed my life.

Love Greg.

I got a free ticket for Kanye West last night.  The man puts on a good show.  Better than most bands i see.

He ran out on stage through the smoke and immediately broke into Diamonds From Sierra Leone.  He ran around a lot.  Danced like a mofo.  Changed jacket three times.

He had an eight-piece string section backing him up.  At one point, they had a solo while Kanye went off stage.  They played perhaps the best medley I've ever heard.

Eleanor Rigby - The Beatles
Forgot About Dre - Dr. Dre feat. Eminem
Bitter Sweet Symphony - The Verve

His DJ put on an great show as well, filling in the gaps between songs.  Before Gold Digger, he played this old lo-fi Ray Charles sample, and then seamlessly: "She'll take my money, when I'm in neeeed."

He closed with Touch The Sky after an inspiring monologue that everyone should follow their dreams, not listen to the nay-sayers etc.

He rocked my world.

A letter to the editor in today's paper:

Ducks devour helpless tadpoles.  Save our frogs.  Shoot ducks.  The Frogs Family First Society supports the Duck Shooters Association.

A succinct and stirring argument.

Also, one of my friends has recently entered the seminary.  I occasionally talk to him online.  In our chat today I realised something incredibly cool.  He types 'lol'.  In seven years time, the archdiocese of Melbourne with have a true blue lol-ing priest.

Brad says:
doing pastoral work at the little sisters of the poor in northcote
Brad says:
so many of the old biddys want Brad to wheel them back to their room after lunch
Brad says:
    lol

He also refers to himself in third-person and calls nuns 'old biddys'.  I love that guy.

Sal, we gotta go and never stop going till we get there.
Where we going, man?
I don't know but we gotta go.

Back at uni on Monday.  My university makes me smile for so many reasons.  And when I smile, sometimes I can't stop.

The ten best songs of 2005, as voted by Australia?  I think that's what you guys asked me to put up here...

10.  Franz Ferdinand - Do You Want To?
9.  Wolfmother - Joker and the Theif
8.  End of Fashion - Yeah
7.  The White Stripes - My Doorbell
6.  Wolfmother - Mind's Eye
5.  Gorillaz - Dare
4.  Foo Fighters - Best of You
3.  Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc.
2.  Ben Lee - Catch My Disease
1.  Bernard Fanning - Wish You Well

It seems Australian's can like some poor music.  But then again, they can like some AWESOME music!

See the best (or HOTTEST) 100 songs right here!!!

Have a happy Australia Day on the 26th my American friends.
